TOWN OF MILTON
SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION
The Town’s wastewater consultant (Weston & Sampson) and the Town’s contractor (Green Mountain/Inland Waters) are conducting rehabilitations on the sanitary sewer system from March through August 2024. The work is being conducted as part of Milton’s Wastewater Capital Improvement Plan. The purpose of the rehabilitations is to repair broken sewer pipes and manholes to mitigate groundwater from entering the sanitary sewer system. By removing this extra flow, Milton will reduce the amount of wastewater it sends to the MWRA for treatment.
In order to improve sewer service, on behalf of the Town of Milton, Green Mountain/Inland Waters will be conducting rehabilitation work throughout the town during normal construction hours, Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, from March through August 2024.
During this project there may be some interruption to your sewer service. If your property will be affected, a notice will be distributed 1-week and again 24-hours before the scheduled work is to take place. The majority of the work will be conducted on public roads; however, some work may also be conducted in town-owned sewer easements.
Green Mountain/Inland Waters company vehicles are white and blue with the company name on the sides and their personnel will be wearing yellow shirts and reflective vests with company markings.
