Complete Streets Prioritization Plan

Overview

The MassDOT Complete Streets Funding Program was initiated by MassDOT to help communities create streets that provide safe and accessible options for all travel modes - walking, biking, transit, and vehicles- for people of all ages and abilities. Designing streets with these principles contributes toward safety health, economic viability, and quality of life.

The Town of Milton has received state approval to develop a Complete Streets Prioritization Plan, which, with the help of the consulting firm of Howard Stein Hudson, has ranked viable projects to access up to $400,000 of state funds per year for the construction of approved projects.

Types of eligible projects include, but are not limited to bicycle lanes, new or improved sidewalks, curb ramps, improved pedestrian crossings, benches, bus shelters, and more. Community input is a vital part of the development of this plan- read below for a few ways to get involved!
